Before giving you a summary of what we offer, we would like to list points of what a prospective student should look for in a Training facility and/or Instructor. The field of permanent cosmetics is exciting and growing rapidly. As is often the case with a rapidly growing field, there are many places to train. So pick your training facility carefully.

Do you wish to find a school that trains you for two days and turns you loose to apply permanent makeup on someone's face... alone? Would you want this poorly trained technician working on your face?  Very long classes are not not the best option because students can not afford to go away from home to study and lose income from their existing jobs.

Please choose a facility that offers an approved Basic course.  Why? Because they provide several options with live models and cover all areas of permanent makeup that ensure the graduate comes confident, competent, and ready to begin working in the industry. A Basic course should teach you, thoroughly, to do eyeliner, eyebrows, and lipliner. Any other procedures are considered Advanced permanent makeup.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT TRAINING

  • How many students should be in each class? There should be no more than 4 students per class.  Any more than 4, your might be headed for trouble.  Smaller classes ensure individual attention from a qualified instructor.

  • How much "hands on" training? Almost all is best and you will be one on one with your instructor during procedures.

  • How many live models should you be allowed to work on? Four procedures would be the minimum, but optimally six procedures should be demanded.

  • How qualified should your trainer be? An qualified trainer should come recommended by a leading society such as the American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM). The trainer should be following the society approved and recommended Basic course. The Trainer should also be able to provide you with proof of training and continuing education units that are up-to-date.
