| I run a small/medium size business and want an online presence to promote my business in a professional manner to new customers and to provide a more professional image to existing customers. What do I need to achieve this? You need a professionally developed website, a domain name, and hosting facilities for your website. You also need the website to be uploaded onto your hosting facilities and promoted to the search engines. |
| How long will it take to build my website? Building a custom website is an intricate art and it varies as to the amount of time it will take to build yours. Depending on the size of the site and the complexity of your site will determine the amount of time. The more information you can provide to us the faster and easier it will be to build your custom site. |
| After my site has been published for a while, what if I need more pages? What is the cost? You may add additional pages at any time during and or after the design process is complete. We are here to build you a website to fit your exact needs and specifications. The cost for extra pages added on to one of our designs is $100 per page. |
| What is hosting and do you provide this? Yes, we provide webhosting to our clients. Included in your initial website package we provide the first year of hosting FREE. Each year thereafter, we charge $70 per year to host your site. Each website needs to have a web hosting company to ensure the site stays online. The hosting company stores all your files on their servers, which is crucial to making sure your site runs smoothly and consistently. Because we are a small company we do not allow anyone to access our server. If you choose another hosting provider, most offer the option to go into your site. Because we build our sites from the ground up, using no templates, you might need a web building program to alter your site once we develop it. |
What is search engine optimization (SEO) and do you provide this? All our websites are created with search engines in mind and the website design is compliant with search engine guidelines. It is a good idea for your website to be re-evaluated in time as over a period of time the search engines do alter their rules and algorithms and you will want to be certain that your website is kept up to date and complies with new rules etc. |
| My website is done but when I do a search I can not find it? Depending on the type of business, location of business, local online competition will affect the placement of your site initially. In our experience once your site is published online it takes approximately 3-4 weeks for the larger search engines to crawl and index your site (this is why SEO is so important). Ultimately the goal is to be able to view your site on page 1 of the major search engines - however, this takes a little bit of time. In some cases it may take tweaking meta keywords and meta descriptions to achieve this. Don't panic, this is normal! Because search engines are constantly changing algorithms we never guarantee a first spot position on page 1 of a search engine - however, we do strive for page 1 status. |
| Will everyone see my website the same? Your website visitors will see some things differently depending on their browser, screen resolution settings and their individual computer settings and toolbars. We design sites with that in mind and preview them in several browser types and resolution settings before publishing. Obviously as technology evolves then eventually all websites may need reevaluation to stay up to date with the latest trends. |
| Do you offer social media services? We can offer certain social media services. Currently we offer services for Facebook and Instagram. With Facebook (when contracted) we offer at least 4 postings per month. Posting may include graphics, text, text linking, promotions, holiday greetings, etc. Clients may forward specialty information to us to use on their social media, otherwise we promote services as we deem relevant to the business. Please note - we do not respond to posters on a client's social media. It is the responsibility of the clients to respond to messages or posts from social media visitors. |
